AusBiotech Student Volunteer Program
Applications for the AusBiotech Student Volunteer Program at AusBiotech 2012, Australia’s leading biotechnology conference, are now open. The participating students have the opportunity to improve their communication, networking skills and experience by working behind the scenes of this major industry event.  The program, proudly supported by AusBiotech, aims to give students a ‘competitive edge’ in the search for employment in the biotechnology industry.

AusBiotech-GSK Student Excellence Awards
The AusBiotech-GSK Student Excellence Awards are national research awards, offering six state-based awards as well as a national winner. Partnered exclusively by GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) Australia, these awards aim to recognise and encourage promising research students and promote the commercial translation of bio-scientific research.

Six state finalists will be invited to present their research at the AusBiotech 2012 conference in Melbourne from October 30 – November 2. The national winner, to be announced at the conference on October 31, will be awarded a $7,000 travel grant to present their research at an international conference. A $2,000 grant will also be awarded to the winner’s principal supervisor.

The AusBiotech -GSK Student Excellence Awards are open to students studying in any Australian university.
