Global Changemakers is a British Council-funded global youth network of over 700 social entrepreneurs and community activists from 112 countries worldwide. Since its inception at the Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum in 2007, Global Changemakers has organised and run over 15 regional and global youth workshops across the world – in Amman, Beirut, Cape Town, Doha, Harare, Rio de Janeiro and London, among others.

The Global Changemakers Asia Youth Summit - to be held from 17-23 July 2011 - will bring together 60 young social entrepreneurs and community activists from across Asia for a five-day summit in which they will share knowledge, ideas and best practices for implementing positive social change.

Applications are now open to social entrepreneurs, community activists and volunteers from Asia, Australia and the UK aged 18-24 who would like to attend the summit and join the Global Changemakers network.

Go to http://www.global-changemakers.net/ to find out more and to apply, or email your questions to globalchangemakers@britishcouncil.org.

Applications close 17 April 2011
