Entries for Eco-Minds environmental ambassadors 2009 now open!

Do you have a passion for the environment? Do you want to help fast track your career? Then register to be part of the Eco-Minds Challenge in 2009!

The Eco-Minds competition is offering three Australian students the opportunity to represent the country as environmental youth ambassadors and win an all expenses paid trip to New Zealand to attend the Eco-Minds youth forum for sustainable development from 25-30 May 2009.

The third Eco-Minds forum is being organised as part of a unique global partnership between Bayer and the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) and aims to foster awareness and knowledge of environmental issues amongst youth in the Asia Pacific region. Eco-Minds provides the opportunity for young Australians to work with delegates from eight other countries to develop creative and practical solutions for addressing the challenge of sustainable development which may potentially influence Australia’s ecological future.

The Eco-Minds challenge encourages students across ALL disciplines to think of creative and practical uses of science and technology to help solve emerging environmental issues. This year’s essay is on energy supply.

Students who take part in this unique forum develop their leadership skills, expand their knowledge of sustainable development, meet amazing and inspiring people and fast track their careers.

We are offering three motivated university students, aged 18 – 24 years, the opportunity to participate in the Eco-Minds forum in New Zealand in May 2009.

The competition closes on Monday 30 March 2009.
