Gateway Upgrade Project Site Visit

The $1.88 billion Gateway Upgrade Project is the largest bridge and road project in Queensland’s history.
A state government initiative, the Gateway Upgrade Project is being delivered by Queensland Motorways in partnership with Leighton Abigroup Joint Venture (LAJV).

The project involves:
•Construction of a second Gateway Bridge.
•Upgrade of 20 kilometres of the Gateway Motorway from Mt Gravatt-Capalaba Road in the south to Nudgee Road in the north.
•Construction of a new Gateway Motorway deviation, providing a more direct route north of the river and better access to Brisbane Airport.(Information sourced from http://www.gatewayupgradeproject.com.au)

The site visit will include an overview of the project, followed by a tour of the Pre-cast Manufacturing Facility, and a walk past the Gateway Bridge construction site: As this is an active construction site, full Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required for
all whom attend. Please ensure you bring your own:
•Hard hat,
•Safety glasses,
•Steel cap boots, and
•Long-sleeved shirt.
