The Association of Professional Engineers, Scientists and Managers, Australia (APESMA) will be making presentations to final year students about a range of issues related to maximising their opportunity to obtain a position in a Graduate Development Program following graduation.

The presentation is titled "Graduate Recruitment Programs: Maximising your potential in securing your graduate placement"

There are two presentations:

NATHAN campus on 20 May 2003 in N22 Theatre 2 (Northern Theatre 2) from 1.00pm to 2.30pm.

GOLD COAST campus on 21 May 2003 in Lecture Theatre G06_1.04 from 12.00noon to 1.30pm.

The topics to be covered include:
Graduate Programs (what they are, time frames, tests, office visits, social events)
Application letters
Resumes
Selection Criteria
Interview skills

The presenters include:
Tracey Otto, Recruitment Consultant, ETM Placements (An APESMA employment agency)
Catherine King, Membership Liaision Officer, APESMA
Allan Moore, State Manager, ETM placements (*at Nathan campus only)

The presentation is aimed at final year Engineering, Science, IT,
Business and Commerce students, but other disciplines and years are welcome to attend.

You need to REGISTER. Application forms are available from Student Services front counters at Gold Coast, Nathan and Logan or by emailing Catherine King at APESMA : cking@apesma.asn.au.

The application Form needs to be completed and returned to Catherine King by 19 May for Nathan & 20 May for Gold Coast. The returning details are on the form.

Members are free, non members can join on the day (STUDENT MEMBERSHIP IS FREE!!)
