Careers and Employment recruitment service fees and employer responsibilities

The recruitment team is part of the Careers and Employment Service at Griffith University and is not-for-profit. The modest fees we charge our employer partners are reinvested in our service to employers and in nurturing quality student and graduate candidates.

The Careers and Employment recruitment service aims to provide suitable candidate resumes to approved employers based on the details provided in their position descriptions. We are able to source candidates directly from the University disciplines and the recruitment database of registered students. We look after all aspects of the recruitment process including advertising, conducting preliminary interviews, checking Australian work rights and arrange interviews for you either via Microsoft Teams or in person. Our service fee is only payable upon successful placement of a candidate referred to you by the recruitment service.

  • After the employer satisfactorily submits the Employer Agreement form, agreeing to all procedures and requirements described, the recruitment consultant will advertise the vacancy and source, screen and shortlist candidates from the recruitment database and other means within the University.
  • The Consultant agrees to provide shortlisted candidate resumes to the Employer within 7 business days of the date of receipt of the Agreement form. These resumes will be the most suitable matches for the position description provided. The Australian work rights of the candidates will be confirmed by the Consultant prior to the resumes being sent.
  • The Employer is to advise the Consultant which candidates they wish to interview, and also provide information regarding the preferred interview date, time and location. This can be arranged to be conducted online via Microsoft Teams if this method is preferred.
  • The Employer is to advise the Consultant as soon as possible after the interview which candidate is successful, and their commencement date.
  • The fee for our service is $1000 plus GST which will be invoiced by Griffith University upon commencement of the successful candidate referred to you by Careers and Employment Recruitment Service.
  • The invoice must be paid within seven (7) days of date of issue.
  • The Employer agrees to inform the Consultant of the outcome of all interviews and the commencement details of any successful candidate.
  • The Employer is to assure due diligence is executed throughout their recruitment and hiring process as the Consultant offers no replacement guarantee.
  • The Employer agrees to adhere to all applicable Australian and State laws throughout the recruitment process and during the employment of the selected candidate.
  • Please note we are unable to recruit for roles where businesses are operating from residential properties or requiring students to work in a private home.
By ticking 'I agree' I confirm that I agree to all of the conditions described in the ‘Careers and Employment Recruitment Service fees and Employer Responsibilities’ section of this form and that I agree to pay the $1000 + GST fee for this service.
